LMC-funded energy management training for Myanmar's food processing sector kicks off in Yangon

A training course on energy management for the food processing sector in Myanmar, funded by the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund, kicked off here on Thursday.

Speaking at the opening event, Zheng Zhihong, minister counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, expressed China's willingness to share its experience in energy conservation and efficiency improvement with Myanmar, jointly pursue a path of green, low-carbon, and sustainable economic and social development, and promote the steady and long-term development of a China-Myanmar community with a shared future.

In his video speech, Myanmar's Union Minister for Industry Charlie Than expressed gratitude for the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund's support, stating that the project is highly aligned with Myanmar's needs and will contribute to Myanmar's green industrial development.

Nearly 100 people, including Director-General of the Directorate of Industrial Collaboration U Mya Oo and representatives from food processing companies, attended the event.

The two-day training course will feature lectures by experts from China.
