The "Green Lancang-Mekong Initiative: Collaborative Capacity Building for Green Industry Transformation and Pollution Prevention and Control" event was held in Shanghai from June 12 to 15, 2025, as part of the environmental cooperation activities of the 2025 Lancang-Mekong Week.
The event contributed to advancing the Global Development Initiative and fostering coordinated governance and cooperation on climate change and ecological environmental protection across the Lancang-Mekong region.
Officials from ecological and environmental authorities of Lancang-Mekong countries, along with representatives from international organizations and research institutions, engaged in on-site exchanges and in-depth discussions. Key topics included regional environmental quality, collaborative climate governance, solid waste management and resource recycling, and the advancement of green industries.
