The Youyiguan border gate along the China-Vietnam border recorded some 520,000 inbound and outbound passengers in the first quarter of 2024, up 189 percent year on year, according to local authorities.

In the first three months of this year, the land port cleared over 100,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 22.75 percent, according to the Youyiguan entry-exit border checkpoint in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The land port currently handles approximately 6,000 inbound and outbound passengers on a daily basis, the checkpoint said.

The Youyiguan border gate, located in the city of Pingxiang, is one of the largest land ports in Guangxi. It is one of the most convenient land routes between China and ASEAN members, and an important entry port for fruit.
