A China-Laos workshop focusing on the new generation of information technology was conducted in Chongqing from March 27 to April 5.
The Chongqing College of Electronic Engineering (CQCEE) organized the workshop as part of the Silk Road Project of the Mayor's Scholarship, a Chongqing municipal government initiative for international students.
The workshop was attended by 21 college teachers, technicians and engineers from Laos. Following the workshop, the participants engaged in 20 days of online courses provided by the CQCEE after returning to Laos.
The Lao participants acknowledged that the new generation of information technology is still in its early stages in Laos, emphasizing the workshop's significance in equipping Lao IT practitioners with the skills to learn and utilize new technologies and close the technology gap.
They expressed anticipation for the deepening of IT cooperation between Laos and China within the Lancang-Mekong cooperation framework.
