A symposium focusing on the development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in Lancang-Mekong countries was held in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, on April 7.
Organized by the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, the event was intended to bolster the development of TCM within the framework of the Lancang-Mekong cooperation mechanism.
Participants, including students and experts from China, Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia, attended the symposium virtually and in person. They engaged in rigorous discussions on the development and promotion of TCM in their respective countries, along with the ongoing friendly cooperation between Jiangsu and these countries.
Universities in Jiangsu are actively promoting the formation of an alliance of TCM Confucius Institutes around the world, the construction of overseas TCM centers, and the development of Jiangsu-ASEAN traditional medicine talent cultivation and exchange bases.
