Journalists from more than 20 domestic and international media organizations gathered in Xining, northwest China's Qinghai province to report on the latest developments in the Lancang-Mekong region, focusing on economy, environment, culture and resident's quality of life.

Themed "Nourished by the Same River, Nurturing Everlasting Lancang-Mekong Bond," the 2021 Lancang-Mekong Adventure Large-scale Domestic and Foreign Media Interview Campaign invited journalists to tell stories about the results of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC).

The event created a new platform to strengthen economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between Lancang-Mekong countries.

In October, journalists embarked on an 18-day-journey that started at the source of the Lancang River, following it downstream to Yushu in Qinghai province, Qamdo in Tibet autonomous region and Lincang in Yunnan province.

Ni Xinghai, a reporter for Golden Phoenix, the only Chinese-language newspaper in Myanmar, said the news reports would offer readers insights into the merits and significance of the LMC.

The LMC has yielded fruitful results since its first leaders' meeting in March 2016.
