China's Yunnan Province on Saturday donated liquid oxygen to Myanmar's Yangon region, state-run media reported on Sunday.
A donation ceremony was held at Waibagi Specialty General Hospital in Yangon.
The donated liquid oxygen will be distributed to general hospitals and COVID-19 treatment centers under the management of the Yangon region government.
Myanmar's Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment for COVID-19 on Saturday announced an extension of closure of basic education schools for one more week to Aug. 15, due to the need to continuously curb the spread of COVID-19 infections.
Myanmar's State Administration Council on Saturday also extended the public holiday period to Aug. 15 for further prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 infection.
According to the latest figures by the Ministry of Health, the country had reported a total of 326,489 COVID-19 positive cases with 11,526 related deaths as of late Saturday.
