China Tourism and Culture Weeks kick off in Myanmar

The China Tourism and Culture Weeks event, which will enable the people of Myanmar to "travel" to China by a series of online activities, kicked off in Myanmar on June 8.

The 3-week-long event will introduce Chinese culture and tourism to the Myanmar people including ice and snow tourism, food, scenery along the Silk Road, as well as Chinese cultural heritage and the development of rural areas.

Organized by the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the event is aimed to show China's natural scenery and cultural heritage to the Myanmar people through various online activities such as short video screenings, online classrooms and interactive activities.

It is also reported that the event aims to tell the Chinese story through tourism promotion and people-to-people exchanges, speed up the integrated development between culture and tourism, and promote cultural and tourism exchanges between China and other countries.
