On Jan. 16, the 10th LMC Diplomatic Joint Working Group Meeting was held in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.
On Feb. 20, the 5th Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers' Meeting was held in Vientiane, Laos.
On May 21, the Joint Working Group on Water Resources held an online meeting.
On July 30, the Roundtable Dialogue on Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Green Economic Development Belt: Biodiversity and Sustainable Infrastructure was held online.
On Aug. 24, the third Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) leaders' meeting was held via video link, comprehensively mapping out the blueprint for future cooperation among the LMC members.
On Sept. 24, the 2nd Virtual Meeting of the Joint Working Group on Lancang-Mekong Water Resources Cooperation was held.
On Oct. 22, the 24th Dialogue Meeting of the Mekong River Commission (MRC) was held by the MRC and its upstream dialogue partners: China and Myanmar. An agreement was signed in which China agreed to provide the MRC with year-round hydrological data.
On Oct. 26, the Joint Working Group on Agriculture convened its third meeting via video link.
On Nov. 24, the 2020 Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Media Online Summit was held.
On Nov. 24, the Joint Working Group on Poverty Reduction convened its fourth meeting via video link.
On Nov. 30, the Lancang-Mekong Water Resources Cooperation Information Sharing Platform was launched.
On Dec. 28, China's National Development and Reform Commission held the Mekong-Lancang“Multi-Nation and Multi-Park” Cooperation Conference & Online Investment Promotion Event.
On Dec. 29, the Seminar on Lancang-Mekong Tourist Cities Cooperation Alliance was held in Nanjing, east China's Jiangsu province.
