From Jan. 23 to 26, the final of the fourth Youth Innovation Competition on Lancang-Mekong Region's Governance and Development (YICMG2019) was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

In March, the Lancang-Mekong Environmental Cooperation Strategy was adopted.

From March 22 to 23, the Lancang-Mekong Regional Dialogue—Education Cooperation Forum was held in Yibin, southwest China's Sichuan province.

From April 2 to 3, the third meeting of the Joint Working Group on Water Resources was held in Can Tho, Vietnam.

On May 18, the 2019 Lancang-Mekong Young Leaders Cultural Exposure Camp kicked off in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan province.

From June 4 to 5, the first Special Meeting of the Joint Working Group on Water Resources was held in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan province.

On June 5, the 3rd Lancang-Mekong College Students' Goodwill Games & the 5th South and Southeast Asian College Students Culture and Sports Week kicked off at Kunming University of Science and Technology.

From June 12 to 13, the second meeting of the Joint Working Group on Agriculture was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

On July 22, the Inauguration of Lancang-Mekong Youth Exchanges and Cooperation Center was held at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

On Aug. 10, the second Special Meeting of the Joint Working Group on Water Resources in 2019 was held in Nong Khai, Thailand.

On Sept. 22, the fourth meeting of the Joint Working Group on Production Capacity Cooperation was held in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

From Oct. 29 to 30, the third Special Meeting of the Joint Working Group on Water Resources was held in Foshan, south China's Guangdong province.

On Oct. 30, the 2019 Lancang-Mekong Agricultural Cooperation Summit & Economic and Trade Fair opened in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan province.

On Nov. 15, the 2019 Lancang-Mekong Region Tourism Cooperation Working Meeting was held in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan province.

On Dec. 17, the Ministerial Meeting of the Lancang-Mekong Water Resources Cooperation was held in Beijing.
