Dwelling in lush jungle that surrounds the historical royal settlement, Luang Prabang, located aside the Mekong River, is known for French-Lao architecture and splendid Buddhist temples.
Luang Prabang was listed by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a world heritage in 1995.
