On December 21, China provided 200,000 doses of animal vaccines to Cambodia, in response to the request of Cambodia.

Zhang Taolin, Vice Minister for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, said that ever since China and Cambodia established diplomatic relations 62 years ago, both counties have continuously supported and helped each other, forging an unbreakable and profound friendship.

Agriculture is an important area of focus in the China-Cambodia cooperation. In recent years, cooperation has been expanding in scope. Industrial parks harvesting rice, bananas and pepper have been built, and the trade volume of agricultural products has maintained double-digit growth for many years. The donation of China’s animal vaccines to Cambodia has opened up new areas of agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

The agricultural cooperation between China and Cambodia enjoys unique advantages and possesses strong complementarity and great potential. China is willing to better synergize its development plan with Cambodia in areas including rice breeding, animal vaccines and disease prevention and control.

Great efforts have been made to train agricultural talents and strengthen investment cooperation in natural rubber, cassava, livestock and poultry breeding. It is expected that both countries will continue to promote the deep processing of agricultural products and the construction of demonstration zones for tropical agricultural cooperation to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

H.E. Ms. Khek M Caimealy, Ambassador of Cambodia to China, thanked China for its donation of animal vaccines and hoped to further deepen cooperation with China in various fields so as to jointly build an unbreakable Cambodia-China community with a shared future.
