The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Special Fund 2020 supported the Civil Aviation Flight University of China in implementing three projects to train professional personnel in aircraft maintenance, dispatching and air traffic control for Mekong countries. The projects include training of civil aircraft maintenance professionals from countries along the Lancang-Mekong River, training of flight dispatchers from Lancang-Mekong River and radar control training for civil aviation controllers from countries along the Lancang-Mekong River.

This is the first time for the Civil Aviation Flight University of China to implement the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation project and successfully complete the recruitment and selection of 52 students from Mekong countries in the face of the epidemic. The training has been well received and enthusiastically signed up by Mekong countries.

As the oldest and biggest pilot training school in China, Civil Aviation Flight University of China has trained more than 70 percent of the pilots and more than 80 percent of the captains of the civil aviation industry. It is well known as the"cradle of civil aviation pilots" in China.
