The 2020 China (Hainan) - Cambodia Training Course on Tropical Agricultural Technology (Phase 4) was held in the Cambodia-China Tropical Eco-Agriculture Cooperative Demonstration Zone between 23 and 27 November.

Chinese and Cambodian experts on agriculture-related fields conducted training sessions and discussions on banana and pitaya cultivation, yielding positive outcomes. Experts from both countries shared a consensus that China's increasing support for Cambodia's agricultural development will help Cambodia to welcome and embrace new opportunities for its agricultural sector.

The training course is centered on banana and pitaya industrial technology, and focuses on various subtopics including cultivation technology, identification and control technology of diseases and pests, as well as post-harvest handling and preservation technology. 60 students from the Royal University of Agriculture in Cambodia and local agricultural workers attended the intensive training course, which was taught by top-rated experts from the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences.
