China's top political advisor meets Lao National Assembly president

China's top political advisor Wang Yang met here Wednesday with Pany Yathotou, president of the Lao National Assembly, and the two sides agreed to advance exchanges and cooperation.

Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), called on the two sides to work together to strengthen high-level exchanges, promote Belt and Road cooperation, and deepen pragmatic cooperation so as to push the China-Laos comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation to new levels.

Wang said the CPPCC National Committee is willing to work closely with people from all walks of life in Laos to jointly build a community with a shared future for China and Laos.

Pany said the Lao side is ready to deepen the traditional friendship between the two countries, learn from China's development experience, and continuously advance bilateral relations.
