Travelers from Thailand for Israel are exempted from a 14-day quarantine upon arrival in the Middle East country, said a government official on Monday.

Thailand's Foreign Affairs Ministry's deputy spokesman Natapanu Noppakhun confirmed all Thai and other nationals traveling from Thailand to Israel are exempted from the 14-day quarantine against the COVID-19 pandemic, effective from Monday.

Thailand is among a total of 30 countries from where travelers to Israel are not to be quarantined upon arrival, Natapanu said.

In the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) community, only travelers from Thailand and Singapore are given such exemption in the Middle East country, according to the deputy spokesman.
