New Batch of Anti-epidemic Supplies from China Arriving in Cambodia

A new batch of anti-epidemic supplies sent from China to Cambodia will arrive in Phnom Penh by air on the night of May 11 and 13 respectively.

According to the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese embassy in Cambodia, the new batch of materials includes 5,016 novel coronavirus test kits, 18,000 pieces of protective suits, 30,000 protective eyewear goggles and 200 infrared forehead thermometers. The anti-epidemic supplies have been received by the Ministry of Health of Cambodia.

The Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese embassy in Cambodia stated that China will further assist in supplying protective suits, masks, and other materials, and continue to increase its support for Cambodia's epidemic control and prevention efforts.

According to the Ministry of Health of Cambodia, as of May 11, there are 122 cases confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Cambodia, and 120 recovered cases. There have been no new confirmed cases over the past 29 consecutive days. The Ministry of Health of Cambodia stated that it will continue to follow up investigations with partners such as the World Health Organization. It also appealed to the general public to remain vigilant and refrain from taking epidemic prevention and control measures lightly.
