Thai deputy PM hails China's success

BANGKOK, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- At a keynote speech celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit on Monday hailed on China's success.

He highly praised China's phenomenal development and numerous achievements, elevating the country to become the world's second largest economy.

At the forum in Bangkok, Jurin said the six factors which drove China's success include the emphasis of political stability, grass-root economic promotion, bottom-to-top reforms, infrastructure development, public-private sectors collaboration and foreign trade promotion policy.

Jurin also told the forum that in his capacity as deputy prime minister and commerce minister, he will also adopt policies used in China, in Thailand.

"Not every country is the same, some policies used in China are good examples that can be utilized in Thailand," said Jurin, "For example we can learn from Chinese government's policies in eradicating poverty, and how to uplift its grass-root economy."
