Lancang-Mekong Cooperation countries plan projects on rural development

YANGON, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Members of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) have held a workshop in Myanmar's capital of Nay Pyi Taw on planning projects on rural development and poverty reduction among them through exchanges, according to the National Coordination Unit of LMC on Thursday.

Wednesday's workshop aimed at drawing up plans which include arranging study tours and sharing experiences and knowledge on rural development and poverty alleviation among the LMC countries which comprise China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

Participants discussed and exchanged views on rural development and poverty reduction as well as future work plans and budget measures.
