On 27 Jan, H.E. Wang Wentian, Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia and his spouse Madam Gu Xiaojun attended the Chinese New Year Celebration in Phnom Penh held by the Cambodia-China Friendship Association (CCFA). Around 500 people, including President Ek Sam Ol of CCFA were also in attendance.
Ambassador Wang expressed appreciation to the CCFA for its contribution to people-to-people exchanges between two countries. He noted that the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia would continue its great support to the CCFA, and expected further development of and greater contribution from the CCFA.
President Ek Sam Ol, on behalf of the CCFA and himself, welcomed Ambassador Wang on his assumption of office. He noted that the CCFA would truly perform its duty, playing a more active role in the development of friendship between two peoples and of cooperation in all areas between both sides.
