Myanmar President U Win Myint has approved the resignation of chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, according to an order of the President's Office on Tuesday.

Aung Kyi recently submitted his resignation from the post of chairman of the commission out of his own volition.

The Anti-Corruption Commission was formed in 2014 after the Anti-Corruption Law took effect in September 2013.

Myanmar is a member country to the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and Southeast Asia Parties against Corruption (SEA-PAC).

Meanwhile, President U Win Myint appointed former Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations Hau Do Suan as the deputy minister for international cooperation.
