Thailand's Pattaya City plans to hold Pattaya Fireworks Festival 2020 later this month, confirmed a top executive official on Friday.

The nighttime festival is scheduled on Nov. 27-28 in Pattaya beach area under the theme of "Light is Life," according to Pattaya City Mayor Sonthaya Khunpluem.

Pattaya Fireworks Festival 2020 is primarily designed to promote tourism for one of Thailand's world-famous beach resorts in "new normal" style alongside anti-pandemic measures, the mayor said.

Meanwhile, Pattaya will hold celebrations for the 42nd anniversary of establishing the tourist beach city on Nov. 29, he said.
