The China Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) reported a soar in freight indices in the Thailand and Vietnam routes.

The NCFI, reflecting freight rate changes of 21 routes departing from the Ningbo-Zhoushan port, stood at 1,378.1 points on Friday, up 4.4 percent from last week.

The sub-index for the routes to Thailand and Vietnam stood at 1,732.3 points, up 46.7 percent from last week.

According to the Ningbo Shipping Exchange, the route was affected by the shortage of containers, and the freight rate continued to rise sharply in the fourth week.
